After your backup has completed successfully, you will be able to download a copy of your files from your Sucuri Backups Dashboard (the link can be found at the top of your Sucuri dashboard).
Choose the card for the website.
Then click on the desired backup date.
You'll have two options for your zip file archive:
- Zipped Files Download - full backup of all website files and folders
- Selective Files Download - select only the files you wish to download
You can choose the files to download with Selective Files Download.
Next, you can choose how you'll download the zip file:
- Email me the download link - recommended for large backups, allows backups to resume if the download is interrupted
- Wait here for the download - download will begin in the browser immediately after the archive is generated
Restoring Your Website Files
Once you have downloaded your zip file, restoring the files is very easy!
You need to decompress the zip file (usually by double clicking) and then upload the files to your host server using an FTP client such as FileZilla, CyberDuck, etc. You can also upload your files using the file manager found on your hosting control panel/cPanel.
It's recommended that you merge the restore files with the files on your host server, rather than replace them. Merging preserves non-retored files on the server.
