One great feature of the Sucuri Firewall is its caching. You not only get protection but also speed optimization due to our high performance caching. This will make your site rank better, helping your SEO.

Sucuri offers four caching options. You can see them all under Performance -> Caching Level in CloudProxy’s settings.

Caching

Here is what each option means:

Enabled (recommended) - The Sucuri Firewall will cache your entire site and only refresh page and file cache every 48 hours. This is the best option when it comes to site performance, it will make your site faster.

Minimal caching (only for a few minutes) - The Sucuri Firewall will cache your entire site and refresh page cache every 5 minutes. This is the best option when you need to make constant changes to your site.

Site caching (using your site headers) - The Sucuri Firewall will not cache page content for logged in users. This is the best option if you run a custom CMS, a forum like vBulletin or an eCommerce store. Cache-control headers sent by your web server will be respected.

Disabled (use with caution) - The Sucuri Firewall will only cache static files such as images, .css, .js, .pdf, .txt, .mp3 and a few more extensions, but note that it can slow down your site.

With static files, it is best to use versioning during development which will ensure updates go live as expected. This is done by adding a query string such as "?ver=123.1" and incrementing (such as ?ver=123.2) on each update. Another option is to clear CloudProxy's cache.

Also, note that you can always clear your site's cache whenever you want, even with the "Enabled" option by going to "Performance" under your Cloudproxy's settings and clicking on "Clear Cache".
