Sucuri Backups service allows you to backup sites remotely via FTP or SFTP. Since completely losing your website files would be a disaster, backups allow you to have peace of mind that we’ve got a copy of your site in case of emergency.
To add backups to an existing domain within the My Sites page, please locate the Backups column and click the icon for the website you wish to configure.
If you have not already added the domain, please click the Add Site button in the upper right and follow the instructions found here.

Backups
This area will allow you to navigate to different calendar dates to view those specific backups. You will also see a snapshot of the site and have options to restore, download or view the content of that backup.

Settings
In the upper-right corner (above Backup Now), select the
More menu, and then Settings.

Schedule
Here you will set the schedule of this site’s backups. You can choose the start time and frequency of the backup. Choose from Monthly, Weekly, Daily, Every 12 hours and Every 6 hours.

Content
Utilize this section to exclude specific files, folders or database tables. You also have the option to manually add files or folders to the list using the Custom File Exclude button.

Storage Region
Your backups are saved on our secure cloud storage but you have the option to decide whether we store those files within the United States or in Europe to comply with specific privacy needs.

Private Key
If using an SFTP Private Key for the Backups to connect to your server, you enter it here.

SFTP / FTP
In this section you provide your SFTP or FTP credentials if you wish to have us connect using Password Authentication. If you have added your Private Key then you would select the Use account-wide private key authentication option.

Database
Enter in the connections and credentials to connect to your site’s database. By default each site backup is limited to one database but if you have multiple databases or have questions about that option, please submit a support request with your needs.
